The "binding" stage is where all the pieces (signatures, inserts, etc.) are finally turned into a book. Low page count books will most likely be saddle stitiched (stapled in the spine) and large page count books will be perfect bound (glued like a paper back novel). The binding process is done at very high speeds too, and requires attention to be sure the books are satisfactory.

After the books are bound they are prepared for shipping and or mailing based on the customer's needs.
